Entod Furtob Tobramycin Sulphate Ophthalmic Solution for Dogs & Cats – Schedule H Eye Drops
Furtob Eye Drops by Entod is a sterile ophthalmic solution containing Tobramycin Sulphate USP, a broad-spectrum aminoglycoside antibiotic used for external bacterial eye infections in dogs and cats, including conjunctivitis and other susceptible ocular infections. Each pack contains 5 ml of sterile solution for topical ophthalmic use only, to be used strictly under veterinary supervision.
Composition (per ml)
- Tobramycin Sulphate USP eq. to Tobramycin: 0.3% w/v
- Benzalkonium Chloride Solution IP: 0.02% v/v (as preservative)
- Sterile Aqueous Base: Q.S.
Indications
- Bacterial conjunctivitis ("pink eye")
- External ocular infections caused by susceptible gram-negative and gram-positive bacteria
Tobramycin will not treat viral or fungal infections. Always confirm the diagnosis with your veterinarian before use.
Dosage
- As directed by the Veterinarian. This product's dosage is not printed on the pack with specific drop counts or frequency — administer strictly as prescribed. Tobramycin ophthalmic products for pets are commonly dosed at 1–2 drops in the affected eye(s) every 8–12 hours, but the prescribing veterinarian's specific instructions always take priority.
- Route: Topical ophthalmic only — not for injection.
How to Apply
- Wash hands before use.
- Gently hold your pet's eyelid open and administer the prescribed number of drops.
- Allow your pet to blink.
- Do not touch the dropper to any surface, including the surface of your pet's eye.
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to tobramycin or any component of the formulation
- Confirmed viral or fungal eye infection (this product targets bacteria only)
- Safe use in pregnant pets or pets intended for breeding has not been proven — consult your veterinarian
- Do not use if the solution has changed colour, turned cloudy, or contains visible particles
Possible Side Effects
- Itching and swelling of the eyelid
- Redness of the conjunctiva
- Burning or irritation upon application
- Stop use and contact your veterinarian immediately if symptoms worsen or new reactions appear.
