EarSoothe-TE is a veterinary ear cleanser solution containing Tris-EDTA (1% w/v) and N-Acetyl Cysteine (1.35% w/v) in an aqueous base, manufactured by Cian Healthcare Ltd. and marketed by Drools Pet Food Private Limited. It is indicated for use in dogs and cats to support the management of various ear conditions, including those associated with bacterial and yeast infections. When used as directed by a veterinarian, it may help address symptoms such as ear scratching, head shaking, and redness or swelling in the ear canal.
How It Works:
Tris-EDTA acts as a buffer solution that helps maintain the pH balance within the ear canal and may support antibacterial and antifungal activity. N-Acetyl Cysteine is a mucolytic agent that may help break down and dissolve mucus and debris in the ear canal, allowing other medications to penetrate more effectively and supporting resolution of infection.
Indications:
This ear cleanser may be used as an antibacterial flush and as an alkalising solution in dogs and cats showing signs of ear discomfort, including ear scratching, head shaking, and visible redness or swelling in the ear canal.
How to Use:
Shake well before use. Apply the solution to the ear canal and gently massage the base of the ear. Repeat as necessary or as specifically directed by your veterinarian. Dosage and frequency of use should always follow your veterinarian's instructions. Avoid contact with eyes. Wash hands thoroughly after each application. For external use only.
Contraindications:
Do not use this product without veterinary guidance. Do not use if the eardrum is known to be perforated or damaged, as this may cause further harm. Avoid use in animals with known hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients. Do not use for human purposes under any circumstances.
Side Effects:
As with any ear preparation, some animals may experience mild temporary irritation at the site of application. If your pet shows signs of increased discomfort, excessive head shaking, or worsening of symptoms after use, discontinue application and consult your veterinarian immediately.
