Royal Canin Fussy Exigent is a complete and balanced dry food developed specifically for adult cats over one year of age that have selective or picky appetites. This formula combines three former Exigent diets — Savour, Aroma, and Protein — into one product, so you no longer have to guess whether your cat is fussy about aroma, texture, or protein.
Key Ingredients:
The composition includes dehydrated poultry proteins, maize flour, animal fats, wheat flour, wheat gluten, rice, hydrolysed animal proteins, beet pulp, maize gluten, yeast products, minerals, fructo-oligosaccharides, algal oil, and marigold meal. The wheat gluten used is an L.I.P. protein, selected for its very high digestibility
Nutritional Benefits:
Because fussy cats may eat only small portions throughout the day, this formula is energy-dense and high in protein to help meet their daily nutritional requirements and support a healthy weight. It also includes ingredients that may help support urinary tract health in adult cats. The unique dual kibble approach uses two different textures and shapes to stimulate natural food preferences and encourage more consistent eating.
Guaranteed Analysis:
Protein: 40%, Fat: 17.5%, Crude Fibre: 1.0%, Crude Ash: 7.0%, Metabolisable Energy: 4175 kcal/kg.
Feeding Guidelines:
Always follow the feeding guide on the pack. As a general reference, daily amounts are based on the cat's ideal body weight. For a cat weighing 2 kg, approximately 30–35g per day is typical. For 4 kg cats, around 52–58g per day. For cats weighing 6 kg, approximately 70–78g per day. These are starting points only — adjust based on your cat's activity level, body condition, and your veterinarian's guidance.
Storage and Transition Tips:
Store in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight. Reseal the bag tightly after each use to maintain freshness. When transitioning from another food, introduce this diet gradually over a 7 to 10 day period by mixing increasing amounts of the new food with the old food to avoid digestive upset.
Veterinary Consultation Note:
This food is formulated as a complete diet for adult cats. However, every cat has unique nutritional needs. Consult your veterinarian for specific dietary advice, especially if your cat has a health condition, is pregnant, or is a senior cat.
