Aceptik HC Plus - Veterinary Antiseptic Concentrate (1 Ltr)

Aceptik HC Plus is a veterinary-grade antiseptic concentrate containing chlorhexidine gluconate (7.5%), cetrimide (15%), and isopropyl alcohol (7%). Designed for external use in dogs, cats, and other animals for wound cleaning, skin preparation, and disinfection under veterinary supervision.

Composition
- Chlorhexidine Gluconate IP: 7.5% v/v
- Cetrimide IP: 15% w/v
- Isopropyl Alcohol IP: 7% v/v
Dosage for Animals
IMPORTANT: Always dilute before use. Never apply concentrated solution directly on animals.
For Wound Cleaning in Dogs & Cats:
- Dilution: 25ml in 1 liter of clean water
- Application: Apply with clean cloth or sterile gauze
- Frequency: As directed by veterinarian, typically 1-2 times daily
For Pre-Surgical Skin Preparation:
- Dilution: 200ml in 1 liter of 70% alcohol
- Use: In veterinary clinic setting only
For Equipment Disinfection:
- Dilution: 10ml in 1 liter of water
Critical Safety Warnings
- NEVER use undiluted - can cause severe skin burns in animals
- Avoid eyes, ears, and mucous membranes
- For external use only - not for internal use
- Prevent animals from licking treated areas until completely dry
- Use protective collar if necessary
Contraindications
- Known hypersensitivity to chlorhexidine, cetrimide, or isopropyl alcohol
- Do not use near eyes or ears
- Avoid on deep wounds without veterinary guidance
- Not recommended for internal use or ingestion
- Use caution in puppies or kittens under 8 weeks
Side Effects in Animals
Monitor for:
- Skin irritation or redness at application site
- Excessive scratching or licking
- Allergic reactions (swelling, hives)
- Dryness or itching
- Contact dermatitis
If any reaction occurs, discontinue use and contact your veterinarian immediately.
